Foodie Branding

I'm such a sucker for pretty food. I'm all about the presentation and aesthetic appeal of food. Let's be honest, I love food! And especially ice cream ;) When quality ingredients meet quality branding, there lies a recipe for success. A brand that comes to mind is Salt and Straw, a farm-to-cone ice cream shop in Portland, Oregon. Last summer when visiting my good friend Emily (and college roommate :)) and her hubby Jordan in Portland, they took me here on my first night.  It was sooo good!  Their branding totally adds to the experience, making it a visual experience as well as delicious!

Client Work: Beginning Stages

Simplicity with a touch of whimsicality, and cool hues.  That's the inspiration for this moodboard for a very talented Boston photographer.  I seriously get so excited when I work with photographers. Their line of work allows for such creativity and fun.

Project details to come soon!

Beauty Queens

Getting my hair cut is one of my least favorite things to do.  I always feel like too much is taken off!  But the deed was done yesterday, and luckily it wasn't too bad haha.

Keeping in line with hair inspiration, these ladies are sporting long, lovely locks (with a touch of bed-head!)... It's my favorite look.

Client Work: The Social Media Life

So excited to finally share the branding work I did for launch of The Social Media Life. I shared the inspiration board over in this post, and here is the final debut! I absolutely love it. Not only was Desiree was a blast to work with, she also has a fascinating job, she's a social media guru! We definitely share similar styles, we just clicked. I am definitely now a reader of her smart, well-written blog! Check it all out here.

New in Shop

Added some new stamps to the shop.  I absolutely love custom stamps.  They add such character to your mail!  Check em out here!

Etsy Love

One of the reasons I love Etsy is lots of the stuff you see there is one-of-a-kind and handmade with a lot of heart. It's a place for people who love to create and buy creative things. Here is my favorite find this week:

This flirty card is kinda the cutest thing ever. You could give it to a loved one or even frame it as a print for your home. It's by the lovely and talented Brooke Weeber of Little Canoe. The shop is filled with her watercolor illustrations. And it's only $4.50! Go on over and check out what this great shop out of Portland has to offer.

Client Work: Beginning Stages

Recently finished up a logo and some branding work for a very fun client. This is the moodboard I came up with before beginning the project. The client's inspiration included Nylon magazine and minimalist typography, can you say perfect fit?!! I'll share full project details and design soon!

Inspired by the sea

Always inspired by the beaches and warm weather here in San Diego. Wanted to put together some images that reflect the easy and breezy of soon-to-be summertime. Hope they inspire you too. Happy weekend!!
